The Miss California Volunteer Pageant is the Official State Preliminary competition to the Miss Volunteer America Pageant and Miss Teen Volunteer America Pageant.

What are the competition Phases?
Miss: Interview 25% -- Fitness in Swimsuit 25% -- Talent 25% -- Evening Gown 25%
Teen: Interview 25% -- Fitness in Athletic Wear 25% -- Talent 25% -- Evening Gown 25%
Onstage Question is not scored, but utilized by the judges to make their final choices. Depending on the number of contestants we will either only have the top 5 onstage question, or open it to the entire class. TBD

How much does it cost to compete?
Cost to compete for the 2025 competition is as follows
Titleholder: $850 - Includes Official Crown and Sash and invitations to participate in upcoming Volunteer events
At-Large Contestant: $650 - Includes competition sash
- $150 Deposit required to secure your spot
- $500 Registration Fee Due by October 25 2024
- $75 Official Local Sash - Due before item is shipped
-$125 Official Local Crown - Due before item is shipped

What's the Difference between Titleholder

This year, we are offering two different ways to participate in the Competition.
Local Titleholder Option: -- APPLICATIONS CLOSE SEPTEMBER 1st!

Poppy Princess?
Our Poppy Princess Program is a Non-Competitive Program for young girls ages 5-12 to experience and participate in the Miss California Volunteer Pageant!
Poppy Princesses will receive:

Official Poppy Princess Crown and Sash

Official Poppy Princess SWAG

Official Poppy Princess T-Shirt

Opportunity to star onstage in the National Anthem, Poppy Princess Production Number, and Evening Gown Competition

Poppy Princesses will have their very own special Poppy Princess Coronation on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Hermosa Beach Community Theater where they will be crowned by their Miss/Teen Mentor onstage!

What happens if I Win?
The winners of Miss California Volunteer and Miss California Teen Volunteer will have the opportunity to represent the state at the Miss Volunteer America Pageant and Miss Teen Volunteer America Pageants in Jackson. Tennessee!
They will also receive a prize package including Scholarship Dollars, Sponsored services, Goods, Travel Experiences and more!
